Bethpage to Jerusalem - Palm Sunday's Trip for Jesus -

- 7 scenes through the Bible shows God's promise of the coming saviour.

  1) The clan of Juda was to be praised because God promised that from the Juda Lineage will come the "Shilo" Saviour of the world.

  2) God brought the Plagues to Egypt, and the last one was the worst, where all the 1st born sons would die. Lord said to Moses and Aaron to take a Lamb on the 10th day of the month and at twilight on the 14th day, Slay the lamb and put the blood on the two doorposts and the lintel of the house and your 1st born will not die.

  3) Bethleham became the town which raised lambs to be slaughtered, it was also the twon where King David came from and was given the promise that “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh come.” Genesis 49:10.

  4) King David's last command was to have them take his son Soloman and anoint him as the King after he dies.  This continues the promise that "The scepter shall not depart from Juda.

  5) Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

  6) “Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.  The praised Jesus going from Bethphage to Jerusalem saying Hosanna in the Highest.

  7) And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, for Jesus knew that the city and the people in the city would be distroyed in the future.

Jesus came to us and died for our sins, and is preparing a space for us in his Kingdom if we only believe in him.  Put your faith in the Lord your God. Not the things of this world.

The Lord promised that he will return on the back of a white horse.
