Topic: Joy,

Text: 1 Samuel 1:1-18

Elkanah loved his first wife Hannah, but she could not have children.  He obtained a second wife, Peninnah  who was able to have children.  Hannah was devistated because she could not have kids and was ridiculed by Peninnah for this.  

Hannah loved the Lord and after Praying to God to give her a son, she put her love and trust in God and promised to give her son if she got one to the Lord.  

God gave her Joy going forward even though she had not yet bore a child.  

Joy and Happiness does not come from what you have or what you can do.  It comes soley from knowing and getting God.
